Boot Environment Requirements

• pfSense^® Plus software version 22.05 or later

• The firewall must be using ZFS

  Note

  If the firewall is using UFS, it must be reinstalled with ZFS.

• ZFS requires 64-bit hardware (amd64, arm64)

• Certain ZFS dataset layout changes may require a fresh install, though many existing ZFS installations will work
