Updating Recommended Patches¶

Recommended patches are built into the System Patches package. Updating the package also updates the list of available recommended patches. Use the Package Manager to check for updates to the package and update the package when a new version is available.

Warning

Take care when checking for package updates when there is a newer release of pfSense software available. Ensure the device is set to use its current version update branch under System > Updates rather than the branch for the new version.
