Blocklists¶
Blocklists are collections of expressions which define queries to block. Blocklists work similar to Firewall Aliases in that they help administrators avoid having to define the same settings on multiple groups.
The Blocklists section in CoreDNS contains Blocklists created manually in CoreDNS as well as lists created automatically by ThreatGate.
Blocklist Settings¶
When creating or editing a Blocklist entry, the following settings are available:
- Name
A name for the Blocklist.
- Description
Text describing the purpose of the Blocklist.
- Domains
A list of FQDN or expression entries, one per line.
Creating a Blocklist¶
To create a new Blocklist:
Navigate to Services > CoreDNS
Find the Blocklists section
Click the
Add Item buttonConfigure the Blocklist as described in Blocklist Settings
Click OK
After creating the list, assign it to a group.
