Factory Reset Procedure

The Netgate 1537 firewall appliance does not have a hardware button to reset the configuration to factory defaults. On this device it is still possible to perform a Factory Reset from GUI or Console.

Warning

On this hardware the button labeled “Reset” does not reset the pfSense software configuration. The “Reset” button immediately performs a hardware reset, which is similar to a cold boot or power cycle.
